Tsuyoshi Ono

Tsuyoshi Ono brings over 30 years of culinary experience as a Chef to Kappo En. He was born and raised in Tokyo where he started his career and developed the base of his training in Japanese cuisine. After relocating to the United States in 1995, he first lived and worked in Philadelphia where he continued his study of Japanese cooking. He later moved to the Charlotte area with his family where first worked with his current counterpart, Yasuhiro, at Nikko. Tsuyoshi was hired as Chef de Cuisine when opening Baku in South Park and went on to help launch and become partner at Futobuta. Tsuyoshi is an avid classic car enthusiast and enjoys working on his vintage Volkswagen.
